Broker's Comments

Sigma's have an excellent sailing reputation and the 38 is no exception, originally built as a new design to cope with tough ocean conditions. The Sigma 38, a One-design class boat, is a cruiser/racer, with the added comfort and spacious accommodation. The accommodation features two, double aft cabins, a large saloon with two single berths and a double cabin forward. There are also two smaller crew berths. The galley is a comfortable size for preparing meals and sits across from a sizeable navigation station.

This version has a good suit of sails, running rigging replaced in 2014 and has been stored ashore each winter by the current owner. When I visited the boat, I was struck by an example of these well regarded boats, which has been consistently maintained by the owner and is in commission. This boat would be suitable as a versitile cruising boat, capable of coastal and longer offshore passages, a club racer and even as a liveaboard opportunity.
