This boat would be an ideal liveaboard as well as a long-range cruising vessel. The interior cabinetry and finishes reflect fine craftsmanship and the use of premium materials. It is spacious and grand in appearance. The covered wheelhouse, open to the aft deck, makes for a fine protected outside extension to the living space.

The surveyor commented on the interior:
"The interior is arranged for extended cruising with functional furniture and equipment and “Yacht” type finishes. The joinerwork is of Very High quality and condition of furniture and finishes is 'Excellent'. All interior cushions are in 'Like New' condition."

Starting forward is a sleeping cabin, originally for crew, with a marine toilet in the forepeak and double berth to port. The chain locker is accessed from the head through a door in the bulkhead. There is ample storage space in drawers and lockers. A tiled shower stall is to starboard in this cabin and a ladder allows egress to the foredeck.

Next a passage leads aft to a marine toilet compartment on the port side and a cabin to the starboard. The compartment has a sink, tiled shower and Vacuflush toilet. The guest cabin to port has an upper and lower berth in the sleeping cabin with hanging locker and drawer storage and a seat. The hallway passage has hanging locker space to port and space for a chest freezer as well.

Next aft is the galley to starboard with electric cook top, dual under-counter refrigerators and a double basin sink. This is a well trimmed out space with dark countertops, white painted cabinetry, and varnished teak trim. There is a large modern stainless steel sink and faucet fixture, ample counter space, a toaster oven and microwave, and a trash compacter. To port is a laundry center with washer/dryer and teak counter with drawers. Overall, this is a spacious area.

Companionway stairs lead up and aft to the saloon where there is a settee to port and teak cabinetry to starboard. The settee is u-shaped and massive, spanning the length of the saloon area. It would easily function for an additional sleeping berth. Although this a finely trimmed out area, the forward windows have been removed and replaced with plywood paneling that needs finish trim and painting for completion. This will provide much better weather protection when completed and will reduce interior heating from harsh sunlight. The remaining windows to port and starboard in the saloon are large and extensive.

Up and aft again companionway stairs to starboard lead to the wheelhouse with helm and room for seating. The wheelhouse is open to the aft deck and protected with a removable enclosure. The helm teak cabinetry spans the full width of the wheelhouse with beautiful fabrication and a large teak wheel in center. Teak decking extends from the helm station to the aft end of the wheelhouse cabin top. Windows forward provide great visibility for the helmsman and the center pane opens for ventilation.

From the saloon companionway, stairs on the port side lead down to a full-beam master cabin. This features a walk-around king bed with ample storage to be found in drawers and cabinetry. A private ensuite marine toilet compartment with tiled shower is in this stateroom. Tile work is extensive throughout the interior. This is a grand space with dark countertops and teak cabinetry including a desk and hanging lockers.

Egress from the main saloon is through the wheelhouse to the aft deck. The forward cabins have egress through the deck hatches hatch and through the main saloon. Aft cabin egress is to the main saloon and the overhead hatch.

Equipment includes:
- Webasto hot water heating;
- Cruisair marine reverse-cycle heating / cooling

Commentaires du Broker

This Trumpy Motorsailer is very unique in that it is one of only two motorsailers designed and built by the well-regarded designer / boat builder John Trumpy, who owned a boat yard in Annapolis from 1947 to 1974. This boat is among the last built by this famous and esteemed yard. Currently this boat needs some work to finish a restoration which included major structural work. All the remaining work is believed to be above the waterline as it has just been re-launched from major work to the areas below the waterline. This owner is willing to look at offers including possible trades.

This is an opportunity for a very special and historic vessel -- and a beautiful one too.
