The vessel's current owner contracted with S3 Maritime in April of 2023 for extensive work on the main engines, electrical system and sanitation system.

In addition to that work all batteries were replaced by S3 with Lifeline AGMs: two 8 D house batteries and four group 31 start batteries (two per engine.) Generator battery is a wet cell and is 5 years old.

Additional work was completed by the owner as follows:
-- Upgraded house battery cable connections
-- Replaced cables to Main Panel House Switch
-- Replaced power cables for engine start batteries
-- Upgraded entire 12 volt power panel in engine room
-- Upgraded generator breakers and wiring
-- Upgraded bilge pump systems
-- Complete engine manuals are included value $800. -

-- The generator is located in the lazarette with easy access through two cockpit deck hatches. There is an engine room control for the generator.

Fuel tanks are aluminum and are original.
All engine mounts were replaced about 5 years ago.

This vessel has had regular engine, hull and generator maintenance. Old systems have been updated or replaced. Please review the pictures of the work done.

Hi-star was a well-regarded Taiwanese builder in the late 80's whose business appears to have started, run for about 4 years, then stopped due to exchange rates of the Taiwanese / U.S. dollar. Hi-Star resumed construction with larger yachts.

I spoke with a surveyor about this model he said that the decks were 1/4" plywood cored with 3/16" skins , top and bottom. The hull was a solid fiberglass layup. The sedan model has a good reputation as a dry boat.

The use of high quality equipment, such as Caterpillar engines and solid FRP construction make this model always in demand at a reasonable price.

Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Accommodation

Total # of berths 4
No. of double berths 1
No. of single berths 2
Cabin(s) 3
Handbasin 2
Shower 1
Heads 1 heads (Electric)

Entering the interior from the large cockpit you find a couch to port and galley to starboard. The galley has a countertop electric stove, refrigerator / freezer, double sink and microwave.
The lower helm is to port. A small L-shaped dinette is to starboard with table.

Moving into the forward area down a heavy-duty set of steps that fold up to a large hatch, for access to the engine room, is the companionway to the two sleeping areas and the head. The guest stateroom is to port with two single berths -- upper and lower. The head/shower is to starboard. The shower is large and contains a teak seat.
Forward is the master stateroom with a queen-sized centerline berth, vanity table with mirror, and swing out stool.

Cabin heat is provided by electric heaters.
There is an old ESPAR forced air heater but is not in working order. Because there are heat ducts running through the vessel it would be easy to add a new diesel forced air heater.
Back to the cockpit is the heavy-duty ladder to the flybridge. The bridge has a single helm seat with complete vessel controls and navigation equipment. Forward of the helm console is companion seating for four.

2 burner Electric cooker/stove
