Sun 7 Oct Chidham Shoreline Walk
10:30am / 2.5 hours
A 5 mile (8km) walk of the Chidham peninsula shoreline taking in three splendid views: Nutbourne Bay, the main harbour channel, and Bosham. The paths may be muddy and some are well worn. Bring a snack for a short break.
Fee: £3 on the day.
Meet: Cobnor Amenity Car Park. Take Chidham Lane to its southerly point and the entrance to the car park is at the point where the road turns to the right.
A minibus will be available from Chichester Railway Station, south side, suggested donation of £2 towards fuel costs on the day. BOOKING ESSENTIAL ON 01243 513275 for the minibus no later than 24 hours before the event.

Tue 9 Oct Monitoring Colour-Ringed Harbour Birds

We all know that many birds are fitted with little metal rings for identification. There are also harbour birds fitted with bright coloured leg bands that can be seen when bird watching with binoculars. This is a special opportunity to meet with one of the key experts, Pete Potts of the Farlington Ringing Group, who is involved in local bird
ringing projects. We will learn what the projects are all about and how the rings help us find out more about these birds.
