Broker's Comments

The Bayliner 285 is a single engine cruiser, capable of accommodating half a dozen people for the weekend without compromising performance.

Accommodation is key to the enjoyment of a boat like this and the well-thought-out interior design lends perfectly for combined comfort and practicality. The forward vee berth is as big as I've seen in a boat of this size, with ample room for two. There is a neat curtain arrangement allowing an element of privacy.

Moving back, the full galley to port provides everything required for a pleasant self sufficient night or two aboard, including sink, two burner stove, microwave and fridge.

To starboard the dinette folds down to form a berth for two, with plenty of storage underneath. Midships, we find a compact but not cramped heads with sink, sea toilet and shower. Opposite, the aft berth is located in a separate cabin which includes further storage.

The interior of this model has been well preserved with soft furnishings, flooring and headlining all in good condition. One of the stand-out features is the large wrap around windows on either side which provide lots of natural light, this gives the interior a light, airy feel.

The thoughtful design continues externally with well positioned helm and lots of spacious seating arrangements. There is also a removable table, rear storage and a swim platform.
