Broker's Comments

Laid up back in 2009 due to fishing quotas, this strongly constructed and recently part renovated ex fishing trawler is looking for someone with a good bit of ingenuity and a love for project work. Essentially a blank canvas, this could be turned into a fantastic live aboard home or taken back to sea in a capacity of your choosing.

At great expense, the hull was fully re-corked in 2014/2015 both above and below the water line. This was carried out on an Isle of Lewis, Stornaway slipway. The deck still needs some sealing & internally she requires a complete refit but the most difficult work i.e. the hull, is ready for you.

Sailed down to the West Country by a professional skipper who described her as a great sea boat, the turbo charged eight cylinder Kelvin engine worked well on the 4 day run down and was last run up in October 2016 when she was sailed on to Plymouth.

This vessel comes with a 6 kva continuous running generator, which cost over £2,000 in 2014. Good for lighting, domestic equipment or power tools etc.

Situated in a working boatyard, the location is an excellent environment in which to carry out work / maintenance. On site there is a cafe, washing / laundry facilities and a great local town just ten minutes walk away.

Bought by the previous owner as a project to convert into a live-aboard / leisure fishing / diving vessel, the only reason for sale is a change in personal circumstances. With the hull already watertight, this reasonably priced project has an awful lot of potential.
